Veterans Tax Credit Act

Vermont’s Veterans Tax Credit Act gives employers a $2,000 tax incentive to hire soldiers who have returned from deployments in Afghanistan or Iraq in the last two years. In order to qualify for this Vermont tax credit, businesses must employ veterans before the end of 2011. Veterans who start new companies in 2011 can also apply for the benefit.

At the completion of the WorkPAYS2 program, you may also be eligible for the Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program.
